Wednesday, May 03, 2000

An red box just arrived me and i will take an first look.

My first F1 1/12 scale which is neither Tamiya, Protar or Heller.
But is a 1999 car.
MG will produced an limeted series of 500, mine is the No. 49 of 500.
MG Model Plus offers several great big-scale Kits.

I bought this kit by

modell paradies
scheffelstrasse 14
76275 ettlingen
germany

The price is DM 699 (US$ 300) more than fair, considering that a Studio 27 1/20 costs near US$ 200.

The kit came with two decal sheets: an big sheet with carbon layout and an sheet with all sponsor markings (incl. Marlboro and Schumacher)
An set with cables and wires from different gauges are also included for detailing the engine bay.

Fit check from undertray, engine, gearbox and side pods.
All resin parts have many mold marks and the surfaces will need much base paint and sand to get a good background.

I fixed the body, engine, gearbox, sidepods and the underbody with screws,
and I placed the bolt for fixing the car to the case.
